Maya, maid of honor
The wedding was celebrated at 16:30 hours on Friday the 23rd of July 2021 in Bersi Serlini cellar in Provaglio d’Iseo in the province of Brescia (Lombardy, Italy).
Immediately they decided Maya had to absolutely participate in the event because for Federica and Nicholas she is like their little girl but they initially did not know how to make her part of it.
At the end they decided Maya would be a pagegirl, or better, the maid of honor to make her take the wedding rings.
They contacted a dog sitter that helped them during the wedding. Along with their assistant, in fact, the sitter took care of Maya all day, and also made the cushion for the rings that was tied to Maya’s harness.
Also, they placed flowers in the bib with the same colors used for the wedding.
Finally, the dog sitter and the assistant made a photo album of the event through Maya’s point of view and that is how they made her presence possible during that day.
She was the only four-legged present in the wedding and the owners of the venue were delighted to be able to have a four-legged friend, so much that they reserved a room for her to rest and eat with her sitter and photographer.
The ceremony took place outdoors, as well as the appetizers, but for that special day Maya could easily enter the dining room when the guests had dinner.
The guests were certainly not surprised because they know of the love there is between Nicholas, Federica and their pup. In fact, some of their friends who also have bulldogs were nicely surprised of how good she was.
Maya was perfect in her maid of honor part, in fact, to take the wedding rings it wasn’t necessary to train her: they improvised trusting she would go to her mom and dad at the altar.
A special thank you to Federica and Nicholas for giving me the opportunity of talking about their “yes” day and giving me their wedding photos.
We wish the very best to this young couple and their pet Maya.
